MyDoku — Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 29, 2026 · CityGames Studio (“we”, “us”) built MyDoku to be playable alone, offline, with no account at all. This page explains the small number of things the app does share, and why.

The short version

• Your puzzles, progress, collection and settings are stored only on your device.
• There is no account and no sign-up.
• If you use the Daily Puzzle leaderboard, you choose a nickname; we store your nickname, scores and a random identifier — never your email or name.
• We collect anonymous analytics (for example “a level was completed”) to fix bugs and improve the game. This can be switched off in Settings.
• The free version may show ads served by Google AdMob. If you buy “Remove Ads”, ads stop.

Data stored on your device

Boards, marks, lives, streaks, your collection, theme and colorblind-mode settings, and purchase status live in your device’s local storage (with a backup copy in your device’s keychain). Deleting the app deletes this data.

Leaderboard data

If you join the Daily Puzzle leaderboard, the app sends your chosen nickname, your scores, and a random player identifier to our leaderboard service. Daily boards reset once a day. We do not collect your email address, phone number, or any identifier that links the leaderboard entry to you as a person. A reserved test name is filtered out of public boards. To remove your leaderboard entries, email us with your nickname.

Analytics

The app sends small, anonymous usage events (event name, timestamp, device pitch like OS version, random session identifier) to our server so we can learn what breaks and what players enjoy. Analytics never reads your boards or your personal files. You can turn analytics off in Settings, and the app can run entirely without it.

Ads

MyDoku is free with ads provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland/Google LLC). AdMob may collect device information and may use your advertising identifier to personalize ads only where you gave permission (in the U.S., this is treated as allowed under ATT rules only if you consent; declining yields non-personalized ads). Rewarded ads are always optional — they grant a hint when you choose to watch one. Purchasing “Remove Ads” stops all advertising in the game.

Purchases

Hints and “Remove Ads” are processed by Apple App Store. We never see your payment details; Apple shares only the entitlement data needed to restore a purchase.

Children

MyDoku does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app requires no account and collects no personal contact details, a child can play without providing anything identifiying. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data we do NOT have

We have no accounts database, no real names, no emails, no locations, and we never sell or rent any user data — there is no data to sell.

Retention & deletion

Leaderboard entries are retained to keep rankings meaningful and are removed on request. Anonymous analytics records are retained for up to 12 months. On-device data is under your control — removing the app removes it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the data we hold about you. Because our data is anonymous, the best identifier we have is your player nickname and the date of your scores — include both in your email and we’ll take care of it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will appear on this page with a new effective date — and notable changes will be described in the app’s release notes.
